We learn the basic asanas from Hatha Yoga, and combine this with some Yin Yoga, Flow Yoga and QiGong exercises. And I will use the Chakra system in the lessons to help you to connect with your body(parts).
The lessons are accessible for beginners. But also more experiences yogis can deepen their practice. Safety, affectionate, skills, consideration, body-awareness, diligence are keywords in my lessons. Focus and attention on a straight back and position of the hips. We learn to stand, lie and sit in a responsible and save way. We do this in preparation for meditation and to be more comfortable in the different yoga positions. We also work on strength, flexibility, relaxation and knowledge of your body, spirit and mind…
Rachel de Boer: “In my lessons at Natural High Yoga I will use mainly Hatha Yoga to created more body-awareness. Through classic and traditional Hatha Yoga exercises and asanas we will search for possibilities in our bodies to created more space, flexibility, strength and balance. Using mindful movement to expand body-awareness; out of your head and into your body. I will use different types of bodyscans: in meditation, in movement and in relaxation. So we will be able and learn to stay longer with more attention in the body.”
Rachel followed the four-year 600-hour Raja Yoga Teacher Training with Annemiek Latour in Amsterdam East. Received her Chair Yoga certificate in 2018 at Chair Yoga Netherlands from Paula Jap Tjong. She had a training at Arterre for therapeutic children’s yoga for special children. And did her Yin yoga teacher training in 2021 at Pure Energy Yoga from Esther Scheen. Rachel also has experience, expertise and background in different dance forms and rollerskate-dance. She is trained in Qigong and various yoga forms. And is a big fan from dance meditation forms.
